Hundreds of millions of people use Facebook every day. Running a Facebook ad allows you to reach more people on Facebook and your target market through their demographics: age, gender, location, interests, etc. Facebook offers various types of advertising options such as Page Likes, Post Engagement, etc. You can even promote an event, if you’ve been feeling intimidated about creating ads for Facebook, you’re not alone! But it’s not as difficult as you’re probably imagining it to be. In fact, it’s fairly simple. Here are 3 easy steps that will help you make Facebook Ads work for your business:
1. Use Great Images. Human beings are visual creatures. You will probably be best served by using a combination of your own carefully staged photos and stock photos that you can purchase quite inexpensively (or even get for free) online. If you sell products, it goes without saying that you should include them in your pictures. Otherwise, visually appealing photos that relate to your services in some way, or that serve as backgrounds for your text, which leads us to the next step. Video commercials also work well for this reason. How many times have you been mesmerized by a really good TV commercial?
2. Make it Relevant to Your Audience. I cannot stress this enough; you have to know who you’re talking to. You want the pictures you use in your ads to catch the eye of your target audience, and then you’ll need to make sure that once you have their attention, the language you use will continue to keep them engaged. If you sell pet insurance, you’ll want pet lovers to identify and deeply connect with the message. Either use pictures of people snuggling cute little kittens or a beloved dog, or perhaps a picture of an animal at the vet receiving treatment. If you sell chocolates, pictures of the decadent chocolate confections will speak for themselves. Use a lovely backdrop. Show the deep, dark, melted chocolate enrobing a caramel during production, or show an enticing display of chocolates close-up. Make chocolate lovers salivate.
3. Use a Clear Call to Action. Even if you’re not familiar with the jargon, you can probably guess what this means. A call to action simply means telling people what to do next. You should also make it as easy as possible for them to do what you want them to do. Big, bold buttons work wonders. Make sure the colors pop and use clear, simple language. ‘Click Here’. ‘Sign Up Now’. ‘Click Here To Buy’. Make sure that your viewers don’t have to work to figure out what it is they’re supposed to be doing. Simple directives work best, and they should be big, bold, and the color should stand out against the background. Give them a strong lead, and they’re a lot more likely to follow.
By following these three simple steps you’ll maximize your effectiveness on Facebook ads. Running successful ad campaigns has never been easier.
